Gratitude Mushrooms for the Thank You Project

This is one of the sweetest things I've had the pleasure to be a part of in a while, so I'm really excited to share the Thank You Project out in Kennett Square, PA.

How to describe the Thank You Project... well, their words are better than mine:

"[The] Thank You Project is the active engagement in giving thanks by mindfully arranging or spelling the words 'thank you' using objects, ordinary and extraordinary, to form letters purposefully in quiet contemplation."

Currently held at the World's Smallest Gallery (currently hosted by Mary Pat's Provisions in Kennett Square), Gratitude Mushrooms, which launched in March 2017, allows the community to write down what they're thankful for to be displayed in the public space. Be sure to check out the gallery itself if you find yourself in the Mushroom capitol of the U.S., and join the show!

Updates!

I've realized lately that I've stepped away from my artistic side. It's funny when people talk about walking away from what makes you happy - in this case, I didn't realize it was happening until I needed it as an outlet again.

My way back into art started small this summer. I started archiving all of my film negatives as a project this summer, initially starting the process feeling as though it was a chore (since I had been neglecting to do so), but eventually realizing that it was giving me a lot of comfort to have access to photos that I hadn't had physical prints of. Not only has it given me a great look back into the past few years, it's inspired me to start working again.

With that said, I've got a couple of new pieces up in Tiny Little Boxes (a sample below!), and I've been diligently working on editing photos from my sister's wedding this past April. There are more changes to come, but this is a good start after a long time away.

Justin Crowe at Clay Gulgong 2018

So proud of my old friend Justin Crowe for this awesome talk at Clay Gulgong 2018. The ceramics festival (which was held from April 15-21st of this year) had Justin traveling down under talking about his work within the world of ceramics. Definitely worth taking a listen to!

Cup of embroidered coffee, anyone?

A few weeks ago, I mentioned my good friend Nicole and her brand new Etsy shop/Instagram, and I'm extremely happy to share my first purchase (of what will certainly be many more). Be sure to check out her Instagram for some inspiration, and her shop for some additional designs!

Nicoodlecraft!

I am so, so, so excited for my good friend Nicole as she launches her new Etsy! Not only is she an awesome occupational therapist, but on her downtime she makes some really creative and fun embroidered pillowcases. Be sure to check out her Instagram as well, for more updates, and be sure to drop a few likes and a follow :)
