Happy New Year!

Another year, another... well, year.
2013 has been something of a year of change. Things happened that I wasn't expecting, for both good and bad, but the biggest thing has been the reemergence of my creativity. I thought for a bit it died. I'm glad that was not the case haha.

More updates in the days to come (for once I actually promise, especially thanks to this beautiful, wonderful snow storm named Hercules that is going to come and give me some time to think), but for now, hit the Links section (specifically here) to check out some more great artists and sites I just can't seem to pull away from.

And since I haven't said it yet, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

The Katie Barlow Dance Project

Now, I've known Miss Katie Barlow since my freshman year in college, and I can honestly say I know no one who is better equipped for planning flash mobs/energetic and optimistic group dance pieces than her.

This is why I was absolutely thrilled to hear not only about her most recent piece, Binghamton Is Not Boring (which I so wish I could have seen live), but the launch of her website. I wish her all the best, and I truly hope to see one of her dances again soon (be sure to look up her very first piece, a flash mob on campus at Alfred University - you totally won't be disappointed!) - check out some of her videos, and keep checking her website for more information :D

Letter to the World III - An Update!

Letter to the World III (which I previously posted about here and here), which was a fantastic site-specific piece created by my former professors D. Chase Angier, Marketa Fantova, as well as Evelyn Leblanc Roberge and featuring a performance by my friend Kim Rau (as well as others) made an absolute splash at the World Stage Design 2013 earlier this month in Wales. Congratulations to everyone!

More News and Future Updates

Congratulations to everyone associated with the Letter to the World III Kickstarter! They made their funding goal and I'm looking forward to hearing some wonderful things from World Stage Design, which again, is being held in Wales this year. That, and the group of performers they have pulled together for this are all amazing people, and I know it will be fantastic.

On to more fantastic things, I'm in the process of uploading both new and old work; the old being some past photography projects, as well as a couple of continuations of old projects that I haven't touched in a while (some of them being a loooong while haha). The new stuff includes some digital print work I've been working on since the end of last year that I've really been enjoying. If you've followed my art tumblr at all (and even to some effect, my personal tumblr), it kind of leans towards incorporating music/mixtape art. I'll have a more cohesive explanation when I start sharing things (I hope), but again, it's one of the things I've gotten into in the last year that I've become really interested in.

Also, to update on Meme The World, I received my mug about two weeks ago, and am in the process of setting up the perfect shot for its maiden voyage. I'm excited for that, to say the least.
